Hi I am working on a script in Automate to run the Windows 10 Fall Creators update 1709 for the OS upgrade. Trying to run it on workstations in a domain via Automate. This is my first attempt at scripting. I so far have tried to modify a shared script from an online source. The script is supposed to create a folder then download the install file from a LTshare on the domain. I ran it and got this fail message:
The Script(5833) failed in the Then section at step 117. The reason:
Script: S5833 - Starting at Server Time: Friday, April 6, 2018 4:29:43 PM
Script step logging has been disabled. Please set @ScriptEngineEnableLogger@ = True in your script to enable function logging.
If I am understanding this correctly I need to insert this text in to my script? set @ScriptEngineEnableLogger@ = True
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Adding that (usually as the first step in the script) will enable logging on all functions so you can troubleshoot further. In order to download the installer to the endpoints in a script, ensure the install file is in the LTShare as well. Alternatively, you can run through the script debugger to see which step the script errors out on. docs.connectwise.com/.../070
Thanks Robert for your reply, I did insert the logging into my script and now see more detailed information. Now all i need to do is decipher it.
My staff and I are trying to accomplish the same thing as you. Can you please keep me posted on your progress?
So I was able to get a script from another forum LTGeek. I am running today with mixed results.
This a link to that thread www.labtechgeek.com/.../
Its running now after some modification for my environment.
